your body is talking, are you listening?
Breathwork
We cannot separate our biology from our psychology; they are intrinsically linked. Often our bodies are awake to the world around us long before our minds can logically attune. Our undigested emotions are made manifest in our physiology and behavior patterns.
Breathwork is like resistance training for your nervous system. Living in a state of overflow leaves very limited capacity for presence and ultimately leads to moving through life in a reactive state. Using the breath, we can build a bridge between conscious and unconscious realities and support the nervous system to safely discharge stress and move to a more regulated state. A regulated nervous system means more freedom to choose our responses instead of falling into reactive patterns.
The Somatic Breathwork method combines circular, connected breathing techniques, breath holds, and expression to help release stress and stored emotions from the body. This practice shifts our attention away from the thinking mind and into the body to help awaken and strengthen the connection between mind, body, and spirit so that you may live a more aligned life.
You might benefit from breathwork if:
you’ve been dealing with chronic stress and just can’t seem to get back to a centered place.
you’ve been experiencing numbness or disconnection from yourself.
you’ve been stuck in your head and have wondered how you might be able to connect better to the language of your body.
